Born from an initiative by Leo Volkan for Hervit Creations with the aim of telling his professional story, this work has gradually transformed, according to the precise intention of the curators, into an innovative and wide-ranging cultural project entirely dedicated to art, focusing on the most significant and iconic object of its production: the bomboniera. An ambivalent object but with a strong character: only apparently superfluous, it actually hides a heart rich in value and symbolism, having the noble task of guarding the memories and emotions linked to the most intense moments of our life, such as marriage or the birth of a child. The volume represents an editorial initiative designed to give a rigorous contribution to the history and culture of the bomboniera by relying on academics and experts, who offer a rich historical, artistic and literary analysis, giving life to an unusual work, not without surprises and unpublished in the Italian publishing scene.
